Cấu trúc 1: S1 + wish/ wishes + S2 + Ved/ V2 (quá khứ đơn)

► Cách dùng: Sử dụng thì quá khứ đơn ở mệnh đề sau wish để thể hiện mong ước trái ngược với tình huống ở hiện tại.

Ex: I wish my friends spent less time playing computer games and more time outdoors.

Cấu trúc 2: S1 + wish/ wishes + S2 + was/ were V-ing (quá khứ tiếp diễn)

► Cách dùng: Sử dụng thì quá khứ tiếp diễn khi ước 1 điều xảy ra tại thời điểm nói.

Ex : My son wishes he were studying Marketing instead of Engineering.
