B) Verb + to-infinitive
Các động từ theo sau bởi "to - infinitive" được chia làm các nhóm cơ bản sau:
► Các động từ chỉ suy nghĩ: choose, decide, plan...
Ví dụ: 1. She chose to study psychology.
2. We’ve decided to conduct an oline interview for that position.
3. I don’t plan on using snail mail.
► Các động từ chỉ cảm xúc: love, hate, prefer...
Ví dụ: 1. He loves to experience cultural diversity in the world.
2. She hates to share too many things on Facebook.
3. Many people prefer to communicate by using social media nowadays.
Lưu ý, nhóm động từ này có thể theo sau bởi cả to - infinitive và V-ing mà không có sự thay đổi đáng kể nào về nghĩa.
► Các động từ khác: try, want, need...
Ví dụ: 1. I’m trying to reach him.
2. My brother wants to have a new smartphone.
3. You need to send them an email right now.
