I) LÝ THUYẾT TRỌNG ÂM CÂU
- Trong giao tiếp, chúng ta sử dụng trọng âm câu để chỉ ra phần nào trong lời nói là quan trọng nhất - phần mang nhiều ý nghĩa nhất.
- Chúng ta nhấn mạnh các từ trong một câu bằng cách nói chúng hơn một chút, cao độ hơn và chậm hơn những từ khác.
- Chúng ta thường nhấn vào:
- Những từ mang nội dung: danh từ (films), động từ (believe, require), tính từ (generous), trạng từ (exactly)
- Trợ động từ dạng phủ định: don’t, doesn’t,…
- Đại từ chỉ định: this, that, these, those,…
- Đại từ sở hữu: mine, his, hers,…
- Từ để hỏi: what, where, when, why,…
♦ Lưu ý: Bất kể từ hay cụm từ nào cũng có thể được nhấn phụ thuộc vào mục đích của người nói.
