    I. LÝ THUYẾT 

    A) Câu tường thuật yêu cầu hoặc mệnh lệnh

    Chúng ta có thể sử dụng cấu trúc: Tell/ask someone to do something

    ( +): S + told/ asked + O + to V (nguyên thể)

    ( - ): S + told/ asked + O + not to V (nguyên thể)

    Ví dụ:

    “Spend more time on your studies.”

    My father told me to spend more time on my studies.

    “You mustn’t skip classes to do your part-time job.”

    My parents told me not to skip classes to do my part-time job.

     

    B) Câu tường thuật lời đề nghị và lời khuyên

    Chúng ta có thể sử dụng offer và advise với to V (nguyên thể)

    ( + ) S + advise + O + to V (nguyên thể)

    ( - ) S + advise + O + not to V (nguyên thể) 

    Ví dụ:

    “I think you should learn how to use some computer applications.”

    My teacher advised us to learn how to use some computer applications.

    “Why don't you try harder?” Lan said.
    Lan advised me to try harder.

     

    II) BÀI TẬP

    1) Rewrite the sentences in reported speech, using the appropriate verbs from the box in the correct tense.

    1. Our teacher: 'You must study hard for the final exams.'
